    Description

    General introduction:Optical filter refers to coating one or more layers of dielectric film or metal film on optical components or independent substrates to change the characteristics of light wave transmission. Using the characteristic changes of light waves in the transmission of these films, such as transmission, absorption, scattering, reflection, polarization, phase change, etc., to design and manufacture various filter products to achieve scientific and engineering applications. Manufacturing filter technology is a complex engineering technology involving many areas of expertise. Filters are indispensable optical components in photography, which can change the spectral intensity distribution of incident light or change its polarization state according to requirements. As far as the optical propagation direction behavior is concerned, there are mainly reflection, transmission, scattering, polarization and density attenuation.
    Product Description:Infrared filter is also a kind of filter, which refers to the deep red filter for infrared photography. Even if the color is not too dark, the filter will have a corresponding effect. Its function is to screen out visible light and only transmit infrared light. The sensor in the smart machine needs to transmit the signal in an infrared-transmitting way, and the penetration rate and stability of the infrared filter are the keys that directly affect the entire smart product. Infrared filters are mainly used in the field of security monitoring, infrared gas analyzers, night vision products, infrared detectors, infrared receivers, infrared sensors, infrared communication products.
     
    The infrared band includes a wide range of wavelengths, from 780nm to 14um, which is divided into near-infrared, mid-infrared and far-infrared. Near infrared (code name IR-A, wavelength 780~1500nm, NIR), mid infrared (IR-B, 1500~6000nm, MIR), far infrared (IR-C, 6000~14000nm, FIR) 3 bands.
    Product category:
    1) Divided from the material, there are optical glass coatings, colored glass, and plastic infrared filters. The reference here is a near-infrared filter.
    2) From the perspective of optical characteristics, there are long-wave-pass IR long pass filter and band-pass IR bandpass filter:
    Long wave pass type:
    a: Made of tinted glass, usually black. It absorbs visible light and allows infrared light to pass through. If you look at the sun through this infrared filter, you can still see a red sun. Suitable for infrared imaging.
    b: The infrared filter is made by vacuum coating on the optical white glass. This type is also called an optical cold mirror, which reflects the visible light and allows the infrared light to pass through. The exterior looks silver, like a mirror. If it is a mid-to-far infrared filter, it should be coated on Si, Sapphire, and quartz glass.
    c: Infrared plastic filter made of special plastic, black in appearance, if you look at the sun through this infrared filter, you can also see a red sun. The material of this plastic can be PC or PMMA.
    Bandpass type:
    Bandpass filters are all formed by vacuum coating. For near-infrared bandpass, it is coating on white glass. If it is mid and far infrared, it will be coated on Sapphire. Among them, the corresponding light sources of near-infrared bandpass filters are mainly infrared IR LEDs and infrared lasers, so the main wavelengths are 808nm, 850nm, 905nm, 940nm, 1064nm, and there are also less commonly used 780nm.
    The heat treatment process of infrared filters includes cutting, grinding, polishing and etching cleaning of silicon wafers and HCl treatment of quartz furnace tubes for heat treatment.
    Infrared filters are characterized by:
    1. When the furnace temperature is lower than 400 ºC, load the silicon wafer.
    2. Raise the furnace temperature to 400-550°C, keep warm for 10-30 hours; then heat up to 700-800°C, keep warm for 10-30 hours, then heat up to 800-900°C, keep warm for 2-5 hours, and then heat up to 900°C -1000ºC, keep warm for 2-5 hours.
    3. When the furnace temperature drops below 850°C, take out the silicon wafer.
    The infrared filter has good infrared spectral characteristics and physical properties. At present, the infrared sensor filter mainly uses single crystal silicon as the substrate. By alternately plating material films with different refractive indices and thicknesses on the substrate, the The substrate has optical functions such as long wave pass, short wave pass, band pass, anti-reflection, reflection and so on.
