N-BK7 is an excellent lens material for most visible and near infrared applications. It is the most common borosilicate optical crown glass, which can provide excellent performance and moderate price. Because of its high uniformity, low content of bubbles and inclusions, and easy manufacture, it has become an excellent choice for transmission optical elements. N-BK7 is also relatively hard and has good scratch resistance. The transmission range of BK 7 is 380 to 2100 nm. It is not recommended for temperature sensitive applications such as precision mirrors

Products Highlights:
Our precision planoconvex lenses are polished to a strict tolerance to minimize pre wavelet distortion. Strict surface quality tolerance minimizes scattering and unnecessary diffraction effects. These lenses have a surface quality of 40-20 scratch pitting and a surface power with an accuracy of 1.5λ.
MgF 2 visible antireflection film：
Raytek's single-layer MgF 2 visible antireflection film is the most common choice, which provides a very wide wavelength range at a reasonable price. It is the standard configuration of achromatic lens, and can be selected on our flat convex spherical lens and cylindrical lens based on n-bk7. Compared with the uncoated surface, the performance of MgF2 is significantly improved by reducing the reflectivity to less than 1.5%. It is very effective in a wide wavelength range (400 nm to 700 nm) with incident angle less than 15℃
