General Introduction:
Optical fiber bundle, as the name suggests, is the pigtail of multi-core bundle, ranging from 4-core, 8-core, 12 core to 96 core; It solves the problems of insufficient protection of bundle tail fiber to fiber core and fixed termination when the optical cable is terminated, replaces the single connector termination which is widely used at present, and saves the optical cable terminal box. In addition, some of the bundled optical fibers are photoelectric combined cables, which solves the current power supply problem of terminal access, such as compartment remote module, terminal ONU equipment, etc.
Cluster optical fiber refers to the optical fiber directly connected with the equipment or desktop computer to facilitate the connection and management of the equipment. It is used as the jumper from the equipment to the optical fiber wiring link. It has a thick protective layer and is generally used for the connection between the optical transceiver and the terminal box.
Fiber optic patch cords are similar to coaxial cables, except that there is no mesh shield. The center is the glass core of light propagation. In multimode fiber, the diameter of the core is 15 μ m~50 μ m. Roughly the same thickness as human hair. The diameter of single-mode fiber core is 8 μ m~10 μ m. A glass envelope with a lower refractive index than the core is surrounded outside the core to keep the optical fiber in the core. On the outside is a thin plastic jacket to protect the envelope.
